Trim & Broke Handling Systems
HSB has many years experience designing trim and broke handling
systems for the pulp & paper and converting industries. HSB
introduced vacuum trim handling systems to North America in the
1980s, since then there are hundreds of systems installed throughout
the world.
Our specialty is in positive, negative, wet and dry trim and broke
handling solutions – from board trim coming off a rewinder,
cookies from tissue log rolls, to fine paper trim from sheeters,
we have a solution. Integrating a system of conveyors, chopper,
and transport fans in our positive systems, with the ability of
directing the trim or broke to a pulper, baler or other form of
collection, the systems are designed with efficiency and endurance
in mind.
HSB’s vacuum trim handling systems can be designed to collect
and transport trim from various collection points and transport
it over several hundred meters to a separator or dedicated pulper.
Our separators are designed with the ability of connecting a dust
collection system if required. Vacuum trim handling systems are
much more efficient with regard to operation, maintenance, and energy
use and are the preferred method to convey trim at the higher speeds
paper machines and rewinders are operating at today.
